BIOGRAPHY

Mirko Poledica was born on 11. September, 1978. in Cacak. Since, he was a child he was interested in sports activity. When he was 10 he started to train football in FC Borac from Cacak, learning from famous coaches as Milovan Cirkovic, Mica Kovacevic i Mihailo Kolarevic, who have elected him in the first team squad when Mirko was 18. His debut was agains Red Star Belgrade. That generation, all from FC Borac school, was one of the best in the clubs history. Most of them, like Milivoje Vitakic, Ivica Dragutinovic, Nesko Milovanovic, Branko Jelic, became a well-known players in Europe. After four years playing for the first team squad in FC Borac, Mirko continued his career in FC Vojvodina, Novi Sad. In the season of 2001/2002, first league managers elected him in the Team of the Year. As the best assistent in the league, he was invited for the national team. From FC Vojvodina he was loan to one of the greatest Polish club, Lech from Poznan. As a player with the most appearances, supporters elected him for The Best Player. Scout from famous Europeans football clubs didn't missed Mirko's good plying and most persistent was Sparta Praha where he, 2003/2004, won Czech Cup, second place in Czech league and achieve 1/8 finals in the Champions League. On his way to the major trophy, famous AC Milan was the one who ruined his dreams. In the end of the season, Mirko returned to Poland, signing for Legia. In the first year, with Mirko in their squad, Legia finished in the third place, but next year club won the title with two points more than a rival, FC Wisla Krakov. Because of the financial trail with the club, the clubs staff didn't allow him to play, and FIFA canceling his contract on the prejudice of the club. After five years, Mirko decided to return to Serbia, signing for FK Smederevo, as a first team player, till the summer 2007...
